La casa al mare (The seaside house)
Directed by Salvatore Ronga
It is the late 1980s. Enrico returns to the island to sell the house where, as a boy, he used to holiday with his family. The opportunity arises to meet up with old friends and come to terms with the past. The house, in fact, hides a secret, a mystery to be solved.
In this new work by Salvatore Ronga, the evocative remains of the ancient Cathedral of the Assunta at the Aragonese Castle of Ischia draw boundaries to be crossed with imagination and memory, spaces of confrontation in a game of smiles and old grudges, of misunderstandings and possible revelations.
On stage Daniele Boccanfuso, Irene Esindi, Lucrezia Mandolini, Antonio Manzi, Rosanna Nocera and Riccardo Scotti.
The show, organised by the Amici di Gabriele Mattera Association and the Metamorphosis Cultural Association, will take place on Wednesday 6 September at 8 p.m., with a repeat performance at 10 p.m.
Admission is free, but accreditation is required by writing to prenotazioni@amicidigabrielemattera.com.
